Bulgaria (part 2) - August 2019

Black Redstart - common around hotel grounds

Great Spotted Woodpecker

Syrian Woodpecker - Didn't realise this was Syrian until I went through my photos today! The moustache on Syrian does not meet up at the nape as in Great Spotted Woodpecker and the all black tail (no white barring) is also a good feature when slitting the two. (See previous photo for GSW)
Amazing views of Golden Oriole this year!

Golden Oriole
Cracking adult male Golden Oriole

Bit of a distant image, but there are two Golden Orioles and two Turtle Doves in this tree!!

Nuthatch

Very high up juvenile Bonelli's Eagle

Red-rumped Swallow

Yellow-legged Gulls (next four photos)

Hawfinch - These were everywhere this trip, but very mobile and often elusive to photograph!
